We use our Twitter account to promote our company as well as a way to interact with our followers on a daily basis. In the space of one year our number of followers has grown to over 8, 500 that's pretty impressive right? So why should you follow us? We post new jobs to Twitter everyday and regularly tweet useful tips and advice on the recruitment process itself –including everything from CVs to the interview itself!
 
What’s more, we like to keep our loyal followers engaged in the world of science, so we make sure we post a science fact every morning! As if that wasn’t enough, every Friday we run a weekly prize draw, whereby one lucky follower has the chance to win a science / technology themed prize! Did you know? YouTube has now become the second largest search engine after Google, but what does that mean? It means that people are going to YouTube not only to find answers to their problems but to see them! Instead of reading the information, most of us would much rather watch it. So with this in mind, we recently launched our very own YouTube channel to keep you up-to-date with the latest developments within our company. What’s more, this site will eventually provide useful videos to help you successfully secure a new job within the science and technology fields. These videos will include, working with recruitment agencies, how to write a CV, preparing for a job interview and much more, so watch this space! We’ve just uploaded a new video so check it out! Why do we have a Google Plus business profile? Well it’s owned and operated by Google of course! Most of us use Google for everything these days, so by having a Google Plus account, we are increasing our numbers of highly targeted visitors from Google’s very own search results! Similar to Facebook’s ‘like’, Google has “+1 votes”. The more +1’s your pages and posts gets, the better. So, why not check out our profile and give us your vote! We regularly post content on our Google Plus account. Every article we share creates a link back to our website. We not only share content, but re-share content to our community. It’s a great way for us to be involved with our circles and increases the chances of our content being shared withitn our circle of influence. I’m sure like me you’ve all been watching this year’s exciting series of apprentice! Someone’s life is about to change and there’s not long to go now until we find out who the winner is! So what have I been doing since securing a £250,000 business investment from Lord Sugar?
 
  
Since being announced as the winner of The Apprentice in 2012, I have been busy building my new specialist recruitment consultancy, Hyper Recruitment Solutions (HRS). This was the exact idea I pitched to Lord Sugar and his business advises during the process in 2012. Since then we have been created, launched and am currently expanding our scientific recruitment company to suit our areas of expertise namely, science, technology and engineering. We support science jobs, technology jobs, engineering jobs and most specialist areas of expertise within these.
 
 
Most people have asked me why would I set up a science recruitment company? Or is science not completely foreign to my background? Well the reality is after graduating as a Biochemist at university I have operated solely in the recruitment sector on behalf of the science community for a number of years. The business proposition was something I not only had experience and qualifications in, but one I was, and still very much am, seriously passionate about. I aim to change the landscape of science recruitment which I appreciate is a big statement, however I am here to make a positive difference to the industry and I’ll do my upmost to do just that.
 
 
It has taken a great deal of hard work, dedication and commitment to establish Hyper Recruitment Solutions and position us in a competitive market place. This did not happen over night! Our first year has seen the business go from strength to strength where we have taken on experienced and graduates recruitment consultants, we have taken on projects from as far afield as Australia, and most importantly delivered on all of our promises to date by placing a significant number of professionals in to new career roles. I look forward to seeing how these roles progress for the people we have helped as I geuninely feel we have been blessed to have the opportunity to interact with so many talented and professional people.
 
  
With this said there are many more long days of hard work ahead before we make Hyper Recruitment Solutions the successful business that all of us in the company aim for it to become.

Love it or hate it, there’s no denying it - social media is everywhere! With Facebook boasting over 1.11 billion users and Twitter over 500 million, there’s no doubt about it, social media is certainly very powerful!

So why use it? Well firstly, because it’s free! Whether or not it will remain free in the long term is uncertain, but for the immediate future it is so, if you are a start up company or small growing business it’s definitely worth capitalising on this. Promoting your company’s new products and special offers through traditional means such as newspapers, television or billboards ads can be expensive. So the world of social media is the perfect place for advertising your business to thousands of customers without paying a penny!

It’s a well known fact, that word of mouth is the most effective way of promoting your business and products, but social media take can it one step further... With so many people in one place, positive feedback can be instant and easily shared amongst thousands of people at the touch of a button! Of course this also stands for negative feedback so it’s worth bearing this in mind to!

Don’t forget, it’s also worth taking into considering that your social media strategy must be more than just a sales pitch if you are to fully engage with potential customers. No one enjoys talking to an automated answering machine and the same applies in the social media world. There’s nothing worse than having an inactive account that doesn’t interact with customers! Therefore, if used skilfully, social media can provide an opportunity for your company to directly engage with your customers on a more informal and personal level. For example, why stop at simply informing them about your new products, why not encourage your customers to tweet pictures of themselves actually using it! Social media is a great way to think and be different from your competitors. Instead of just trying to get customers through the door, taking money and forgetting they ever existed, why not continue the conversation?
