Hi All,

I am happy to confirm that on behalf of Hyper Recruitment Solutions (HRS) I will be in attendance at the 9th Annual bioProcessUK Conference. This is based around the theme “Accelerating Novel Therapies” and will be on November 28th - 29th in Bristol, UK.

As a part of our companies commitment to promoting and supporting the Science & Life Science communities we intend to regularly be present at a number of the EU's major events.  In my opinion this is one which cannot be missed.

From consulting closely with some of the industries top blue chip and SMEs in the field of Bioprocessing I feel that HRS can add value during such conferences. And in return we can ensure our specific industry knowledge of the market is as up to date as possible. HRS offers subject matter experts to all who we recruit for and this is a great example of the lenghts we go to, to ensure this is the case.

This event programme is made up of keynote presentations, four technical workshops and a networking conference dinner. The key aspects are:

  • Building capacity in bioprocessing in the UK
  • Bioprocessing Research Industry Club (BRIC) as a successful vehicle for delivery of cutting edge research
  • How companies drive innovation to improve their global competitiveness
  • Technical workshops focusing on aspects of biopharmaceutical development and manufacture
  • Case studies on strategic collaboration resulting in successful innovation

For those interested in finding our more about the event then I would encourage you http://www.bioprocessuk-annualconference.org/programme

I very much look forward to meeting key parties from the Bioprocess communicty during this event.

Kind regards

Ricky

The REC’s new Compliance Test was launched in July 2012. All new members to the REC must now pass the test to become a full member and the test will be launched for the REC’s existing members in early 2013. Ricky Martin’s company Hyper Recruitment Solutions was the first to pass the test with an impressive score of 96%. The highest score so far from any recruitment consultancy.

The Compliance Test is an online test with multiple choice questions that assesses a recruiter’s knowledge of the REC’s Code of Professional Practice and key legislation. The test must be completed within a twenty four hour period and you can stop and save your work as you go along so, that you can also attend to any other urgent business whilst you are doing the test. The test is also customised so, that you only answer questions that relate to the type of recruitment business you run eg. if you only act as a temporary recruiter you will only have to answer questions that relate to temporary recruitment. There is a range of support mechanisms in place to help members pass the test and these include workshops, a webinar and access to a “training” test before you do the actual test, which gives you both a feel for the format of the test and types of questions.

The Compliance Test is not there to catch members out but is there to assess your knowledge, help you improve your knowledge and then for the REC to provide support and guidance where it is needed. The test also shows that you are not just buying the badge by becoming an REC member but demonstrating to your clients and candidates a commitment to compliance and professional standards.

We are proud to have Ricky Martin and Hyper Recruitment Solutions (HRS) on board with the REC not only as a new exciting company, but also as they aim to promote our goal of raising standards in professional recruitment throughout their network. We are confident in HRS’ ability to not just provide highly compliant processes but in delivering recruitment excellence. Hopefully by being the first company to pass our compliance test, this should speak volumes to all of the science and technology companies in HRS’ commitment to professional services.

At HRS HQ we have spent a considerable amount of time working with our website developers Designer Websites towards a specific goal; that goal is to provide the most functional and easy to use recruitment website for our existing and future clients. A website that is informative, professional and relevant to the science industry.

We have also been developing an App with KeyApps, in order to provide a mobile service to our clients, which we think is absolutely essential in these times.

We’d like to take a moment to thank both Designer Websites and KeyApps for all the work they’ve done on the HRS website and mobile App. We’ve been working very closely with these companies to ensure that the service that we provide to the science recruitment industry is second to none, and particularly that the website is as functional and effective as possible, and we’re all very pleased with the finished solutions.

Science recruitment is our number one priority at HRS, and we’re pleased to have a place where we can list our jobs, offer advice for jobseekers, and interact with our clients on the go. We aim to provide a high quality service to both job seekers and recruiters in the science sector, and we understand the importance of having a user friendly website and mobile App, which is of course why we have put so much effort into this area of our business.

We hope that you find our website useful and informative but we are always happy to hear your feedback. If you have any feedback or questions relating to our website or our mobile App, please drop us an email at feedback@hyperec.com

Since being announced as the winner of The Apprentice I have been busy building my new specialised recruitment consultancy Hyper Recruitment Solutions (HRS).This is exactly the same idea as what I pitched to Lord Sugar and his business advises, be it with a few slight tweaks to tailor to my new business partner’s area of expertise also.

Most people approach me with the assumption that I already have a successful business and am a major player in the recruitment industry. The reality is that although I have great plans and ambition for the company, we are a start up organisation in a recovering market place. I am working long days and putting in the hours so that my business can stand out as the most professional and compliant recruitment service for the science and technology industry. However this does not happen over night! Our first few months have seen the business go from strength to strength – but there are many more long days of hard work to put in before we make the company the successful business I have always dreamed of.

Being in the recruitment industry one key area of the field is networking. I need to make sure that I know the right people, they know my companies capabilities and we can all add real value to one another! This takes up a significant amount of my time and it is fundamental to the success of HRS.

Networking can come about in so many different shapes and forms and the easiest way to look at networking is the coming together of two parties. In terms of how one may network this can be in so many ways including online, arranged events, a chance meeting etc.

As a recruitment company online networking is something we need to do often and well. A recent study conducted on behalf of LinkedIn has shown that four out of five professionals in the UK are on their site networking. So is it no surprise we are avid users of this online platform and for a business who invests a lot of time networking we need the technology to reach out to people and remain in contact.

Although having a platform to reach out to so many people is very useful to our role, the research also went on to show that a staggering 66% of people are unconfident in their abilities in networking. So for that reason, and the fact we feel we know a few things about networking, we are happy to share with you a few of our top tips to try and restore this confidence in those 66%.

My top tips on networking:

  • Ensure you have a strong social media presence. Staggering the study conducted by LinkedIn show that 69% of companies and people look at their social media pages prior to meeting them. So do make sure whatever you put out there on your pages – you would be happy to stand by it if you are sat in front of a potential client or employer!
  • Don’t over complicate networking. It is nothing new and nothing to worry about. You are there for a reason and provided it is the right one then don’t panic. Show the person(s) you are meeting, why you are there and what the benefit to them is. Add value to the other party!
  • Relax. Whoever you are meeting no matter what their history or job title – they are just another human being like you. There is no need to be shy and in fact by knowing less then the person(s) you are meeting is sometimes a great thing. You may be able to work away with a job / some business and also some new knowledge!

Moving on…..

I am very excited about the future of Hyper Recruitment Solutions Lord Sugar and I will be making some announcements soon with regards the company. We really want to provide a first class service and use our network and abilities to further promote the industries which we are supporting.
